Sunday School
One hour, once a week. Preparation for a lifetime.
Each Christian Science branch church has a Sunday School for students aged 3-20 to learn hands-on about the Bible and Science and Health, and to deepen their understanding of the healing power that can be demonstrated in every situation. Through discussion in small age groups, guided by a Sunday School teacher, students can ask questions about prayer and healing, look to the Bible and Science and Health for inspiration, and develop a rich, active connection to God. The opportunity for students to learn about Christian Science in a practical way is priceless preparation for their spiritual foundation, which they can turn to throughout their whole lives.
The Sunday School session runs at the same time as the Sunday service, in a separate space. The whole Sunday School gathers at the start and the end of the hour to sing hymns and pray silently together. After the first hymn, the students separate into their age groups for discussion and learning.
We also have a crèche for children under 3 years old, who are looked after during the Sunday service.

Crèche: Serena & Sienna
Serena & Sienna share the crèche duties to look after the youngest children. Parents are welcome to accompany their children if needed. The Sunday Service can be listened to in the crèche room.

Carer: Robin
Robin joyfully leads the youngest Sunday School class through creative and musical activities, guiding them through Bible stories and teaching them about God’s infinite Love.
6-12yrs
Younger class: Lynn & Wendy
Older class: Bill
The junior classes learn about God and Jesus’ teachings through interactive play, where no question is a bad question.
13-20yrs
Younger class: Josh
Older class: Noni
The teen classes often follow a less structured pattern than the younger groups, inviting students to put forward their own questions about situations they may be tackling in their own lives. These classes encourage deep discussion about Christian Science, prayer, and healing, and provide a safe and trusted space for the students.
