Every Wednesday evening, from 7:30-8:30 pm, we meet for an inspirational and uplifting testimony meeting.
Following a weekly theme, our First Reader will share readings from the Bible, and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, written by Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. Then, the meeting will open to those gathered to share testimonies of healing and messages of gratitude. We’d love to have you with us.
We broadcast the testimony meeting over Zoom for those who can’t make it in person. Follow the link below to join the service.

Earlier this week, I woke up with a very painful puffy eyelid, which seemed to be the suggestion of an eye sty. I felt it could not have come at a worse time, as life was very busy. So, I went to God in prayer and opened my heart, and humbly listened for inspiration.
I struggled at work during the next two days, as it was quite uncomfortable. Then I mentioned to my young daughter that my eye was feeling a bit painful and she offered to pray for me. I said, yes, please!
After a little while, I asked her what ideas she had prayed with. She said, "Well, Jesus healed a lot of blind people, and it was very fast, easy and natural. Praying doesn't have to be hard work.”
I felt relieved as life had certainly been feeling like hard work! Right there and then, I felt the all the pain disappear. Over the next day, my eyelid returned back to normal right size. And I had thought of the quote by Mary Baker Eddy that reads: “Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man…”. Really, that's why his healings were so quick and effective, because he was seeing his patients’ perfection and not trying to heal matter. And my daughter had been beholding my spiritual perfection, which brought about the healing evidence.
I'm so, so grateful for the Christ that is ever being active in our lives now, and forever, but also, for the wonderful Sunday School teachers that have nurtured my daughter's love of Christian Science.

I recently had a trip to Taiwan, which is a country where Christians are in the minority. Later I read, in the December 22nd 2025 issue of the Christian Science Sentinel, an article by Mary Beattie entitled “Christmas for everyone, everywhere”. She wrote: “Mrs Eddy, who had a deep love for Jesus and the Christmas story, did not limit the demonstration of Christly good to those who are Christian. We can pray to affirm that good is accessible and available to all through Christ the Truth of God and man and through the endless activity of Love, God.”
I had been on guided tours of other Asian countries before. However, in Taiwan, I stayed in the local community. This was a new experience for me, surrounded by a foreign language and sights. I found that I was negatively impressed by the evidence of poverty and other factors. To counter these impressions, I reflected on the synonyms for God, prayerfully looking for evidence of them. Mary Baker Eddy defines these synonyms as Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth and Love.
Principle began to have special meaning for me. I noticed that the trains were particularly clean. Everyone obeyed the rules of no eating or drinking in the carriages so they were immaculate. Although I experienced many crowds, people were always very kind. They obediently queued up in designated lines to wait for the trains, which were never late. These qualities of Principle and Love helped me to feel part of God's orderly creation. I was taken to see a number of cultivated gardens with mountains soaring beyond. They seemed far away from city life and yet were in densely populated areas. I saw this as the beauty of Soul. One day, at a playground, I saw a tour of adults without children whiz many times down a big concrete slide. They laughed gleefully, raising their hands up and squealing with joy.
I realised that, when we look for God's qualities, our thinking is lifted up and we no longer see people of different cultures as “others” in a negative light.
One evening, I was awakened by an emergency message on my mobile phone. It was a notification of an earthquake. The building began shaking fairly violently and I thought of Elijah in the Bible, who discovered the Lord was not in the earthquake. I knew God is all that is real and if He was not in the earthquake, then it had no cause, no power and no effect. I felt safe. I heard later there was no damage or loss of life.
I am so grateful for Christian Science as it provides us with certain ways to discover God’s presence.
